Try the 3 Cup Chicken!it is so flavorful and delicious! I'm craving it as I write this review. I've been a couple times now and each time their food quality and taste is just as good if not better than the last visit. This will become one of my regular spots and food quality is exceptional and it is well priced.

Good roast duck. The skin was crispy. The Bbq pork was also decent. I would come here for the BBQ. Fried rice was nothing special.

Originally I was going to meet family here for a meal (most likely Chinese food) but life happened and it wasn't logistically possible this trip. Before leaving London, I had to have Chinese food at least once. My relatives living here mentioned it was pretty good so I had to see for myself. I looked on Yelp and found Gold Mine. It wasn't too far away from us and the pics looked good. Reviews were mostly all good too so we decided to dine here as our last dinner in London. It'll also be a month before we get to eat rice again so we had to get our last fix in. The restaurant is spacious and a typical looking Chinese restaurant. Staff here all speak proficient English and Chinese. Most of the customers were Chinese so that was a good sign. Mink and I took a look at the menu and ordered Hot & Sour Soup (Chicken and Seafood), Half Roast Duck Cantonese Style with no bones, Salted Fish Fried Rice with Diced Chicken and Hot Tea. It didn't take long for our order to get to us because we ordered as the restaurant started filling up and beat the dinner rush. By the time our order got to us, the restaurant was full. The food overall was quite good so we can see why. We did add gratuity but felt a little pressured to do so when paying but overall, it was a good experience dining here.

With a large Cantonese population, there are many Chinese restaurants to choose throughout London. We decided to go to Chinatown to ensure authenticy and found this family-owned restaurant that specializes in Hong Kong style Chinese food. Gold Mine did not disappoint. Gold Mine specializes in BBQ roasted meats. So of course we had to try it and their BBQ roast duck is about the best as you can get. It was succulent and nicely seasoned for that perfect bite. We also ordered the traditional Cantonese style fresh steamed fish (sea bass) with ginger and green onions. Perfectly prepared and delicious. The place definitely gives me vibes of eating in a Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong. Service was attentive and good. Ambiance is as you would expect for a typical simple family owned Chinese restaurants, but the food is undoubtedly top notch. If you are looking for excellent Cantonese food at a reasonable price, Gold Mine is definitely the place to consider in London's Chinatown.

From Hong Kong and SF, this place has the best roasted duck even better than HK! Must try!!!

I walked in and asked 有冇瀨粉？ they said no. Then I asked 河粉？they said yes, then I said 燒鴨河粉。 They have some fat meaty ducks here and it was the best I've had for a long time. I'm coming here every time I'm in London.

best food in London for my 10-day trip As a Chinese, London local food is too casual, always the burger pizza chips chicken sandwich. So tired of that. But this restaurante lights up my day!!! Ordered the roast duck rice twice.

Looking for great tasting Asian food?!.. well, here's the spot. The duck and chicken tastes very good. Tofu sizing was very big. The food here is more Chinese found in London. I would totally recommend this place if you want good Chinese food. They even serve dim sum until 5pm!! And they open late on most nights.
